Yarm School has achieved the highest possible grade in all areas for both the Prep and Senior Schools in its February 2022 ISI Inspection reports.
We are thrilled to say that the Senior and Prep Schools achieved the highest possible judgements in all categories. Both the Prep and Senior Schools met all of the standards for the Compliance Inspection, and both were judged ‘Excellent’ – the highest outcome in the Educational Quality Inspection. The two key findings for both schools are:
“Pupils’ attainment successfully reflects the school’s aims to provide a first-class, all-round educational experience which equips pupils with life skills for the future.” – Senior School ISI Inspection Report
The Independent School Inspectorate (ISI) is a government regulated body which provides objective inspections and reports on the quality of education, care and welfare of children in independent schools. ISI does not make a single overarching judgement on a school but instead focuses on two key outcomes which are graded: Excellent, Good, Sound or Unsatisfactory.
“Pupils demonstrate superb collaborative skills and work positively with each other to solve problems and achieve common goals.” – Prep School ISI Inspection Report
The Good Schools Guide is the UK’s leading school guide, offering unbiased school reviews and helping parents find and choose the best education for their child or children. Here is a snippet of our latest Good Schools Guide review…
“This feels a fun place to learn: inside and outside the classroom there is a wide range of discussion and activities (mostly run by staff) and to engage and interest every child, strengthening their relationship with their teachers. Children are enthusiastic about the opportunities provided, reflected in the faces of both pupils and staff. Being bored just isn’t on the radar here. A school that shows learning can be fun as well – fast paced with plenty of activity underpinned with reflection and resourcefulness. These are happy, bright, confident children with lots of opportunities for responsibilities and welcome them with genuine enthusiasm and pride.”
