Cricket report from 2009-2010 Magazine

Cricket is a major summer sport at Yarm School. In addition to regular Saturday fixtures for senior teams, we play many mid-week games, including entering two cups for junior teams.
The development of the sport has been greatly aided by the addition of four all-weather nets for the 2009 season to add to our indoor nets. These excellent facilities have enabled pupils to play Cricket throughout the year.
Yarm School has forged healthy relationships with local clubs. With pupils representing County Durham or North Yorkshire.
The 2008-9 season was blighted by the weather, our end of season match against visitors from Brisbane, Australia was abandoned due to rain, along with many others.
Nevertheless, excellent performances came from all age groups throughout the year, highlights including a hattrick from Raheem Mohammed in figures of 4-5 against Ampleforth, and Nick Thomas' stunning century from just 51 deliveries in a fixture against RGS Newcastle.
