Performing Arts
Art, Music and Drama play an important role in the life of the School. Many plays, concerts, exhibitions and dance shows are produced each year. It is also not unusual for concerts or drama performances to take place out of school, and many pupils have performed in a wide variety of venues.
We recognise in the significant benefits that a thriving performing arts programme can offer to boys and girls. It is for this reason that the School is investing in the development of new fantastic facilities to enable these aspects of our extracurricular and curricular provision to flourish further. By 2011 there will be a stunning 750 seat auditorium with an atrium lobby overlooking the river; there will also be a separate studio theatre, music performance suite and dance studio.
Music plays a prominent role in the life of the School, from individual instrumental lessons offered by over 12 visiting specialists, to ensembles, wind band, concert band, junior and senior orchestras, there is an outlet for all musical talent.
