The Learning Experience

At every stage of a child’s career at Yarm School we aim to offer inspiring courses, which will engage our pupils whilst having the key ingredient of flexibility to tailor our lessons for the needs of the individual.  We take great care to gauge the abilities and aptitudes of our pupils at all ages with a view to offering challenging activities for all, whilst being mindful that not all pupils will be moving at the same pace.

Excellent ICT facilities, high quality Science labs, a thriving Design and Technology workshop (with the recent addition of a fully furnished Textiles room), the latest Music and Drama amenities and excellent Sports facilities help us to provide a learning environment which engages all of our learners.  With our ambitious building project underway we are looking forward to a range of state of the art teaching rooms which will further improve the learning environment.

Lessons are planned with a view to stretching and challenging all of our pupils whilst being mindful of their individual needs. Full details of our curriculum can be found in our curriculum information booklets
