Learning and ICT

In the fast paced 21st century it is vital that we keep abreast of the latest technological advances in our classroom. We have a growing number of interactive whiteboards in classrooms and access to the latest educational software.  It is not unusual to see a good number of teachers and pupils using interactive material in the classrooms.  Our ICT suites are fully furnished to offer our pupils all the support they need when accessing the latest in IT resources.

With regular ICT lessons on our Lower School curriculum and the ECDL (European Computer Driving Licence) offered to our GCSE pupils we place great store on developing the ICT skills of all of our pupils.

Email is becoming increasingly important as a communication tool between teaching staff and pupils, with resources being exchanged and questions answered online. We also encourage parental contact via email.

Recent INSET training for teachers in blogging and mind-mapping have opened up new possibilities for our teaching and learning.
