Duke of Edinburgh's Award
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award has for many years been extremely popular at Bronze, Silver and Gold levels. The award, now internationally renowned, was set up to help give young people a structure to follow in their development into adulthood. The format requires students to complete several different sections: volunteering in the community, physical recreation, personal skill, residential experience (Gold only), and expeditions. These aspects ensure that students develop skills in all areas and become ‘good all-rounder’s’.
