Drama

Drama plays an important role in all areas of the School. In the Foundation Stage children have the opportunity to role play and also perform formal nativity plays and take part in performances at Prize Giving. In the Early School the children have a Christmas performance and drama permeates through aspects of the curriculum, particularly in literacy based subjects. In Key Stage 2 the children in Year 4 take part in a play in the Spring Term. The Year 6 children have the opportunity to perform in a musical in the Summer Term. The children across the School often visit local theatres to watch dramatic performances that are related to their curriculum areas.
