Activities Programme

One of the many strengths at Yarm Preparatory School is the extracurricular programme. Two lessons during the week are devoted to activities that the children choose themselves. These activities on a Monday and Wednesday (2:50-3:45pm) range from musical, sport, art and cultural activities. Twice in the Autumn Term and once in both the Spring and Summer Terms, children select their activities from a choice offered by the teaching staff. An extensive range and choice of activities is offered to each year group.

Musical activities at lunchtimes break times and after school are also available to pupils. Several of these are selective, however, Junior and Senior Choirs are open to all children and all are encouraged to take part. At the back of the activity booklet there is a list of these activities and details are given to all children at the start of each term.

Children in the Early School also have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular activities. Details are sent to parents at the start of each term.
