Pastoral Provision

Pastoral care is regarded as an essential part of our school ethos.  At Yarm Preparatory School we aim to create a caring environment for our pupils, where values are built on mutual trust and respect for all. We want our pupils to do their best and we insist on high standards of industry and application. 

We expect pupils to be honest and to practise good manners in all their relationships. We want them to be proud of their school. Our School rewards good behaviour, as it believes that this will develop an ethos of kindness and cooperation. We seek to promote mutual respect and a friendly atmosphere, in which pupils of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds are welcome. 

We attach great importance to the quality and extent of pastoral care provided to our pupils. Systems of monitoring and tracking are well established.
