Nursery

At Yarm Nursery, we aim to give children the best possible start with a wonderful learning environment, small class sizes, diverse curriculum and dedicated teachers. Boys and Girls are welcomed into the Nursery at the start of the term in which they will turn 3 years old.

We provide a safe, secure and stimulating learning environment for children to play and interact. The clearly defined and well-resourced areas promote decision making and independence from an early age.

Children experience an array of challenging activities which promote learning through play and a real ‘have-a-go’ ethos that builds children’s confidence and self-esteem. We ensure there is a balance of child and adult-initiated activities. At Yarm Nursery we ensure a diverse education through specialist teaching in French, PE,  music and extra curricular activities.

Class sizes are small, meaning children receive a greater amount of teachers’ attention allowing them to absorb more, as well as helping to make an easy and smooth transition into Nursery life.
