Pupils try out new robes
Monday 30 January 2012
Year Four pupils at Yarm Preparatory School enjoyed a tour of Yarm Parish Church as part of their studies of world religions.

Pupils were shown the typical features of a Church of England church by the wardens, including the altar, the organ, choir stalls and the stained glass windows before getting the chance to try on the vestments.
Mr Chris Davis, Head of Religious Education, said: “We have been focusing on different world religions in Religious Education with Year Four and the church visit helped reinforce the lessons on Christianity this term. The church wardens gave the children a fascinating insight in to the workings of the parish church and a chance to try on the vestments, which they really enjoyed.”
