Read full news story...Yarm School's social committees are formed by volunteer parents who, in partnership with staff representatives, promote and organise social activities within the School.
Yarm School has three social committees:
Yarm School Association (YSA) - The YSA Social Committee meets in the Board Room at 7.30pm once a month during term times to discuss the Association's activities and to plan events. Parents are always very welcome at these meetings, particularly the AGM in February. The current chairwomen is Ruth Langford. For more information see the school calendar.
Prep School Social Committee - The social committee meet regularly each term. There is usually one large event per term. Recent events have included: Fireworks Evening, Christmas Ball, Summer Fair, Quiz Night, Race Night, Art Auctions. Presently Alison Humphrey is chairwomen.
Friends of Yarm at Raventhorpe - 'Friends' is an active group of parents committed to supporting the School, organising events throughout the year with the emphasis on fun and getting to know other families in the School. We raise money for a charity each year, with this year's chosen charity 'Help for Hereos'. All parents are warmly invited to join the 'Friends of Yarm at Raventhorpe' and attend our informal meetings throughout each term.
