Coach Service
Coach Service Information Booklet

Yarm School offers a dedicated coach service to all pupils over the age of seven. There are three local coach companies with whom we work with and with whom we are in daily contact during term time. We also have a Coach Service Administrator, Mrs Barbara Mills, who is based in The Friarage at the Senior School.
Each morning and afternoon there are members of staff on The Spital and on the pelican crossing to assist pupils using the service.
The coach service is an important element of the School’s environmental responsibilities and is very well subscribed. Over one third of all pupils use the service daily. The service is an efficient and effective means of transport for all families and as well as reducing carbon emissions.
Various passes are available which provide flexibility for families. Passes allowing daily return journeys can be purchased and for families with more than one child using the service there are discounts available on these fares.
Passes providing morning only or afternoon only travel are also available and there is the opportunity to use the Service on an ad hoc basis using Single Journey Passes. These, however are subject to daily availability and must be booked in advance.
Payment for all of the passes is termly.
All of the coaches have seatbelts fitted which are required to be worn at all times. There is usually a regular driver on each route who knows the pupils.
The nine routes cover places as far away as Hartlepool, Thirsk, Saltburn and Sedgefield. Please click the link below to see the full timetable which includes fares.
For all other enquiries about the bus service, please contact Mrs Barbara Mills either by post or email. Her email address is Barbara@yarmschool.org.
