Yarm School top in Tees Valley according to Sunday Times league table

Yarm School is the top independent secondary school in Tees Valley, according to a prestigious report.

The Sunday Times top 250 independent secondary schools listing ranks schools based on 2016 examination results.

Yarm School moved up to 130th nationally, with an 81% pass rate at A-Level A* - B.

Yarm Headmaster David Dunn said: “We are thrilled with the results of this report. It is testament to the hard work of our staff and pupils that we have moved up the league table nationally and that Yarm is the leading independent school in Tees Valley.

“This year we celebrated record A* A Level results but that is not the whole story.

“At Yarm we are committed to developing pupils’ skill beyond the classroom, from cultivating interpersonal and leadership skills to developing a ‘have a go’ attitude. These are the abilities leading universities and employers look for, coupled with excellent results.”
